International Photographic Art Salon of Romania

Its tradition of more than 65 years make the International Photographic Art Salon of Romania ( SIAFR ) the most important event of photographic art that takes place in Romania. The first edition was organized in 1957 under the Haut Patronage de la Fédération Internationale de l’ Art Photographique ( FIAP).
Every two years, the inauguration of the salon exhibition had been considered an event of high artistic value as part of the cultural life of Bucharest, the capital city of Romania. At the same time, it was a wonderful occasion for hundreds of photographic art lovers to admire outstanding works of photographic art.
Over decades, among the participants and laureates of this salon one finds the names of renowned photographer artists, from Romania and abroad, their participation being the confirmation of the appreciation awarded to this ample art manifestation.
At present, the International Photographic Art Salon of Romania takes place
every year and is organized by the Art Photographers Association from Romania
(AAFR), Operational member of FIAP.
